The program is a work in progress that is evolving based on success or failure of increasing the efficiency of the corridor. The program has been in operation for approximately one year. The Regional Signal Operations Program has evolved and been effective in reducing congestion by managing the communications, detection and signal timing on a corridor basis while simplifying the management of multiple tasks to improve the operation.
