Bonded Concrete Overlays as a Pavement Rehab Technique
This article presents the pavement rehabilitation strategy of bonded concrete overlays (BCO), which represent an economical and technical solution to the problem of concrete pavement deterioration in heavy-traffic roads. Aspects discussed are material compatibility, surface preparation, repair of distresses, BCO placement, and curing. Ways in which to expedite BCO are also mentioned.
