Crash investigation memorandum of understanding: creating a road safety partnership
The development of a framework for a closer co-operative working relationship between Wollondilly Shire Council and the NSW Police Force - Camden Local Area Command (LAC) is aimed at not only reducing risk to road users, but also to Council as the Roads Authority. Through the development of a Crash Investigation and Reporting Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between our two agencies, more proactive action is now taken to reduce the exposure of Council to civil litigation, whilst identifying the contributory factors of motor vehicle crashes, ultimately enhancing the safety for all road users.
