Cement stabilisation - observations
The terminology used to describe cement stabilisation needs clarification, design of pavement depth is related to methods in use for flexible pavements, and testing involved, though essential for success, is simple and within the means of all roading authorities. Comments on construction and equipment are based on experience with mix in place method and include cement spreaders. Age strength relationship test results from actual roads indicate a considerable gradual increase of strength with age. Density strength relationship tests indicate a significant increase of strength with increased density (A).
