Tasman Bridge demand study: mode/ route modelling and prediction

A joint Australian Road Research Board Tasmanian Department of Main Roads project has been undertaken to develop and assess specific mode/ route choice models for Hobart and apply these models in predicting future mode/ route usage for the tasman bridge corridor. The project has reached an initially effective point in that mode/ route choice models have been estimated for four trip purposes and indicative predictions of mode/ route usage obtained. However, a number of questions relating to model specification have been raised by the project and will require further surveying and research for resolution. This report presents the interim findings of the project. (A)
