Safe conduct on the roads - a way to secure it?

A questionnaire was sent to 15,000 motorists in Victoria renewing their driving licence between December 1 and December 8, 1976. At time of writing 9,201 had been returned. The questionnaire presented 12 possible causes of road accidents, and asked respondents to mark the three they considered most important, and the three they considered least important. Similarly, 10 possible countermeasures were presented, and respondents asked to nominate the three most important and the three least important. Results are presented.
