AN OUTLINE IS PRESENTED OF A FACTUAL STUDY OF METHODS AND FORMS SUCCESSFULLY USED IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF TRAFFIC SURVEYS. THE STUDY IS CONDUCTED BY THE POLICYHOLDERS SERVICE BUREAU OF THE METROPOLITAN LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY UNDER THE AUSPICES OF THE HIGHWAY RESEARCH BOARD.
