PRT-suburban depressed grade
The report examined the implications of constructing lengths of PRT guideway in open trenches in response to the severe problem of elevated guideway intrusion in residential and scenic areas. The report concludes that the solution is a physically feasible and economically practical - particularly in selected areas. The cost is equivalent to a cut and cover tunnel solution which may be preferable.
