Estimation of runoff hydrographs: rainfall runoff models

There are several rain run off models which show significant promise in terms of the quality of their results and have been developed or tested using Australian data. Brief descriptions of these models are given, but it should be noted that except for the broughton model it is not feasible to use all of the models quickly to obtain acceptable results under Australian conditions. In most cases, the models are of limited value either because their input data requirements cannot be generally satisfied or because the models have not been subjected to testing which has demonstrated their effectiveness.
