Trunk road no 51 Queanbeyan to Batemans Bay

An inventory type survey of trunk road no 51 between queanbeyan and batemans bay has shown that the route is generally substandard. The association believes that the pavement should be at least 7.4M wide and constructed on an improved alignment with frequent overtaking opportunities. The pavement is generally below the desirable width with several sections in poor condition. Shoulders and pavement edges are regularly in poor condition. The trunk road is constructed on a very poor alignment between the summit of clyde mountain and batemans bay (36km). This section has an adverse crash history. The urban section within queanbeyan also has an adverse crash history.
