Feeder roads planning in corn growing areas of Thailand

Corn is one of the main agricultural export products of Thailand. The corn growing area covers more than 5 million rais (1 rai=1,600 square metres). A small portion of the area is served by paved roads, but the major portion is poorly served, with existing tracks which are extremely rough. In order to wipe out the troubles of transportation for the farmers, the government aims to construct low cost all-weather roads to serve the farmers in transporting their products to market. The study is to determine the feasible cost of these all-weather roads as well as suitable spacing between them.
