Vehicle loadings on bridges
Trends over the past few years have indicated that the demand for the transport of large loads is increasing as is the size of the loads to be transported. As a result we need to be more aware of these loads in the design of bridges, particularly when they are on strategic routes frequently used by heavy load vehicles. Also we need to consider improving the structures that already exist on our roads, with the aim of establishing a heavy load route system capable of handling the present and the future demand for this type of transportation.
