Sideways force coefficient comparison of road surfacing materials

This report compares the sideways force coefficient, as measured with a mu meter, of dense graded granite and open graded granite asphalts and single coat granite and single coat metadolerite seals as part of a current programme of regular seasonal monitoring of skid resistance and as an extension of previous work carried out in 1975 and 1977 (a).
