GENERAL METHODS OF CALCULATING TRAFFIC DISTRIBUTION AND ASSIGNMENT

MATHEMATICAL MODELS FOR TRIP DISTRIBUTION ARE PRESENTED WITH THE CORRESPONDING FORMULAS AND METHODS. GROWTH FACTORS, EXPANSION FACTORS AND ITERATIVE PROCEDURES ARE APPLIED. THESE ANALYTIC METHODS PERMIT FORECASTS FOR FUTURE CHANGES IN TRIP GENERATION AND TRAVEL RESISTANCE. TRAFFIC ASSIGNMENT TO THE TRANSPORTATION NETWORK BY MATHEMATICAL ANALYSIS USING CAPACITY RESTRAINT TECHNIQUES IS DEVELOPED. NETWORK METHODS AND SHORTEST ROUTE CALCULATIONS ARE PRESENTED.
