Road safety education in NSW: children's services: 1994 survey

A questionnaire and reply-paid envelope, accompanied by a letter of introduction from the Institute of Early Childhood, Macquarie University, were sent to all directors of children's services in New South Wales. A stratified random sample of Directors was also selected and contacted by telephone. This sample was requested to distribute questionnaires to their staff. Directors and staff were asked to respond to a variety of background questions, to specific questions on their attitudes to road safety education and on their delivery of road safety education. Many of the issues raised can be addressed in future implementation strategies and in annual Program Action Plans to achieve the best practice in the delivery of road safety education to children and families attending children's services.
