THE USE OF PROCTOR FIGURES IN THE EVALUATION OF PROCTOR EXPERIMENTS /IN GERMAN/

FOR THE BUILDING OF A ROAD OR AN EARTH DAM A NUMBER OF PROCTOR EXPERIMENTS HAVE TO BE CARRIED OUT AND EVALUATED IN ORDER TO REACH THE OPTIMUM DEGREE OF COMPACTION OF THE EARTHWORK MATERIAL. USUALLY, SATURATION LINES ARE INDICATED IN THE PROCTOR DIAGRAMS. THEY SERVE FOR SOIL TYPES WITH DIFFERENT SPECIFIC WEIGHTS FOR THE CONTROL OF THE PROCTOR TESTS AND ENABLE THE DEGREE OF SATURATION AT PROCTOR DENSITY TO BE DETERMINED DIRECTLY. THE RESULTS OF THE AUTHOR'S STUDIES PROVIDE AN EASIER WAY OF ESTABLISHING THE SATURATION LINES. AN EXAMPLE OF APPLICATION IS INCLUDED. /TRRL/
