Modification of asphalt pavement and surfacing design to suit site constraints
A full-depth asphalt pavement was proposed for Albion Street in Warwick to rehabilitate a section of the National Highway. Heavy traffic conditions necessitated a strong pavement. However, constraints imposed by the proximity of heritage buildings and the location of vital services required a different approach to construction. This paper describes the changes made to the design and construction techniques to successfully complete the project.
