Bicycle and pedestrian detection and counting
Community concerns over environmental pollution, general access and safety have generated a new interest in non-polluting transport mediums including bicycle and pedestrian facilities. This has resulted in the need for reliable data collection methods from which to formulate engineering solutions and political decisions. This paper outlines some of the data collection sensors available, their potential applications and some of the survey equipment that could be utilised in the collection of bicycle and pedestrian data.
