Community alcohol action programme (CAAP) manual

This manual has been produced by the Land Transport Safety Authority (LTSA) to provide guidance for local bodies, health service providers, police, and others interested in having a CAAP in their community. The manual is divided into three sections. Section One deals with what a CAAP is - what it involves, how it differs from a "blitz", how it is funded, and what time scale it operates on. Section Two sets out obligations that should be met if CAAP funding is to be provided. The remaining sections provide guidelines for the conduct of a CAAP and suggestions on what might be done and when. Specific attention is paid to such issues as CAAP infrastructure, management, the setting of objectives, programme format and evaluation.
