Monitoring moisture patterns in clay subgrades

This paper describes the site, methodology, and results of a project which is monitoring the subgrade moisture conditions under a pavement in South West Queensland. Results over a four year period have been plotted and analysed. A new index to predict the environmental moisture conditions for pavement performance is suggested.
