Tests on slender tubular steel columns filled with high-strength concrete
Results obtained from tests conducted on 18 steel tubular columns filled with high-strength concrete are presented. The test specimens were pinned at both ends and loaded in eccentric compression in single curvature binding. Several test parameters were covered. A simplified method to predict the strength of test specimens is included. Agreement between measured and calculated strengths is generally good.
