UNIFORMITY OF CLASS C CEMENT-TREATED BASE SUBJECT OF TESTS

THE CONCLUSIONS ARE: (1) THE UNIFROMITY OF MIX OBTAINED ON CLASS 'C' CEMENT-TREATED BASE USING CRUSHED STREAM GRAVEL COMPARES FAVORABLY WITH THAT OBTAINED ON PLANT-MIXED CLASS 'A' CEMENT-TREATED BASE. (2) COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH VALUES ARE SUFFICIENTLY HIGH TO JUSTIFY CONTINUED USE OF THIS CLASS OF BASE ON ROADS OF LOWER TRAFFIC DENSITY OR AS A SUBBASE ON THE MORE HEAVILY TRAVELED ROUTES.
