Stress laminated timber bridges: old material - new technology: research and development by the Roads and Traffic Authority NSW

Stress laminated timber bridges are seen as having potential to be used to rehabilitate and upgrade existing timber bridges to enable them to continue as a strategic part of the transport network. The paper reports on a research and development program on stress laminated timber bridges being undertaken by a joint venture consisting of the Roads and Traffic Authority, NSW, the Timber Advisory Council of NSW and Western Wood Products Association of Portland, Oregon, USA.
