Cement stabilization of Flinders Highway - Port Lincoln, The Pines - Tod Highway

This paper describes the recycling of a 13 kilometre length of the Flinders Highway near Point Lincoln by cement stabilisation in two layers. The work was undertaken in 1991 by Brighton Stabilisers under contract to the Department of Road Transport. This paper provides information on the preliminary testing undertaken, a 400 metre trial section, construction techniques used, post construction performance of the stabilised pavement and the savings of recycling.
