Bridge management practice

Bridge Management Practice is written for Engineers and Supervisors involved in bridge management in Australia to provide a guide to good practice in the majority of bridge management operations carried out by both State and Local Government road organisations. The treatise is by no means exhaustive, but is intended to cover rating, repair, strengthening and financial considerations. It also provides back-ground information by discussing the principal forms of material deterioration. The publication attempts to cover the large majority of bridges within the road system but does not discuss the technical aspects of very large structures such as suspension or cable stayed bridges, or specialised structures such as floating bridges or bascule bridges.
