FLANGELESS PIPING IN LARGE TURBINE TANKERS ENGINE ROOM
As 10% of the troubles with the engine departments of turbine ships in the past were caused by leakage of pipe flanges of the steam system, prevention of leakage is strongly demanded not only for the reduction of loss but also from the standpoint of the safety of the crew. The authors explain the essential points of the flangeless piping system in this paper.
