STUDY OF THE VIBRATORY DRIVING OF SHEET PILES IN THE CASE OF FRONTAL SOIL RESISTANCE /IN RUSSIAN/

BASED ON THE VIBRATORY DRIVING AND STRIPPING THEORY, A STUDY IS PRESENTED OF STATIONARY CONDITIONS FOR VIBRATORY DRIVING OF AN ELEMENT IN AN ELASTIC MEDIUM UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF A CONSTANT HARMONIC DISTURBING FORCE. THIS ANALYSIS WAS CARRIED OUT IN CONNECTION WITH A STUDY OF SOIL VIBRATORY COMPACTION AND SHEET PILE AND PILE DRIVING. THE RESEARCH INTO VIBRATORY DRIVING OF SHEET PILES, WHEN LATERAL AND FRONTAL SOIL RESISTANCE IS PRESENT, IS CONCERNED PARTICULARLY WITH VIBRATORY DRIVING OF PILES IN THE CASE OF LATERAL RESISTANCE. THE INFLUENCE OF SOIL FRONTAL RESISTANCE WAS NOT EXTENSIVELY STUDIED. THE MOVEMENT OF SHEET PILES IN THE CASE OF SOIL FRONTAL RESISTANCE WAS ANALYSED TOGETHER WITH THE RELATION EXISTING BETWEEN PILE DRIVING SPEED AND MACHINERY AND SOIL PARAMETERS WHICH WERE EXPERIMENTALLY DETERMINED. THE NON- LINEAR DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS EXPRESSING THE MOVEMENT OF SHEET PILES AND SOIL ARE STUDIED BY THE METHOD OF POINT APPLICATIONS, USING A COMPUTER. /LCPC/RRL/
