PROCESS FOR THE PAVING OF TRAFFIC AREAS

THE PROCESS FOR THE PAVING OF TRAFFIC AREAS WITH AVAILABLE SOIL OR WITH SOIL SHIPPED IN FOR SUCH PURPOSES, CEMENT AND WATER, IS DISTINGUISHED BY THE FACT THAT THE QUANTITY OF WATER ADDED IS DETERMINED ON THE BASIS OF THE WATER REQUIRED FOR HYDRATION OF CEMENT, AND OF THE WATER CONTENT OF THE SOIL COMPONENT OF THE MIX. THE PROCESS IS DETERMINED ON THE BASIS OF THE PROPERTIES OF SUBGRADE AND ABSORPTION OF THE SOIL COMPONENT OF THE MIX. EACH ADDITION IS FOLLOWED BY A REWORKING OF THE MIX WITH A SUCCESSION OF ROLLERS IN DEFINITE WEIGHT GRADATION: LIGHTWEIGHT, HEAVY, AND AGAIN LIGHTWEIGHT.
