Energy absorption capacity of steel beam to column moment connections
Tests are reported on standard moment resistant beam to column connections designed in accordance with the Australian standards. These tests include static and low frequency cyclic loading with significant post yielding action. The form of the hysteresis loops and the effectiveness of these connections in absorbing energy are discussed with particular reference to eventual failure modes (a).
