MECHANICAL-TECHNOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF SPECIAL AUSTENITIC SHIPBUILDING STEELS AND WELDS OF SIMILAR COMPOSITION
MECHANISCH-TECHNOLOGISCHE UNTERSUCHUNGEN AN AUSTENITISCHEN SONDERSTAEHLEN UND IHREN LICHTBOGENHANDGESCHWEISSTEN ARTGLEICHEN NAEHTEN UNTER BESONDERER BERUECKSICHTIGUNG DES SCHIFFBAUS
The steels investigated were X 2 CrNiMnMoN 1913 and X 2 CrNiMnMoN 1916. They were manually arc welded with X 3 CrNiMnMoN 2016 electrodes in four different positions. Stress strain curves, toughness, the effect of cold working on tensile properties, and the effect of cooling rate on room temperature creep of base metal and weld are plotted and discussed.
