A METHOD OF DETERMINING THE ELECTRICAL RESISTIVITY OF THE SUBSOIL BY MEANS OF SURFACE ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES /IN FRENCH/

THE ELECTRICAL RESISTIVITY DISTRIBUTION IN THE SUBSOIL IS DETERMINED BY MEASURING VERTICALLY AT A GIVEN POINT ALL THE COMPONENTS OF THE MAGNETIC FIELD AT THIS POINT. THE VERTICAL COMPONENT OF THE MAGNETIC FIELD GIVES THE CORRECTION FACTOR APPLICABLE TO THE MEASUREMENTS OBTAINED FROM ELECTRICAL AND MAGNETIC HORIZONTAL COMPONENTS. DETAILS ARE GIVEN OF A TRANSMITTER-RECEIVER SET PLACED ON THE SURFACE OF THE SOIL AND OPERATING IN A VERY LOW FREQUENCY BAND. /LCPC (A)/RRL/
