NAVY AUTOMATED WELD SCANNER AND RECORDING SYSTEM
This equipment provides detailed information of the nature and orientation of flaws not normally available with conventional "plan-position-indication" methods. By using appropriate angle probes further information can be obtained from the structure under examination. Testing procedure is completely automatic and independent of operator skill after the initial setting-up has been carried out, and paper recordings of results are available for assessment and future reference.
