ATLAS OF LANDFORMS

THE ATLAS IS COMPOSED OF TOPOGRAPHIC MAPS WITH ASSOCIATED TEXT MATERIAL, AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHS /MOSTLY STEREOSCOPIC/, AND DIAGRAMS ARRANGED ACCORDING TO TOPIC. THE TEXT MATERIAL IS BASIC GEOLOGY AND IS NOT INTENDED AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR A TEXTBOOK. GEOMORPHIC FEATURES APPEARING ON THE MAPS ARE CROSS-INDEXED SO THAT A MAP MAY BE UTILIZED FOR MORE THAN THAT PARTICULAR FEATURE FOR WHICH IT WAS CHOSEN. THE DIVISIONS OF THE ATLAS ARE HORIZONTAL STRATA, DOMES AND BASINS, FOLED STRUCTURES, FAULTED STRUCTURES, CRYSTALLINE FORMS, VULCANISM, KARST, STREAMS, LANDFORMS DUE TO GLACIATION, SHORELINES, AND LANDFORMS DUE TO WIND. /GA/
