An improved procedure for stormwater drainage design

The shortcomings of the rational method of storm drainage design are examined. An alternative design method based on the modelling mathematically of the rainfall runoff processes is presented. The model removes many of the subjective decisions required in the use of the rational method and provides the user with a wide range of valuable information (a).
