Traffic safety education: introducing road safety into school curricula

This paper presents an account of the development of traffic safety education courses in Victorian schools. Since the introduction of this subject into school curricula the Education Department has attempted to define the educational objectives, provide essential resources and identify the future needs for the continued development of sequential programs for all students (a).
