SCREEN LINE ADJUSTMENT OF TRIP DATA

ORIGIN AND DESTINATION SURVEY RESULTS DO NOT GENERALLY COMPARE WELL WITH OBSERVED VEHICULAR TRAFFIC CROSSING VARIOUS SCREEN LINES ESTABLISHED TO MAKE THE COMPARISON, WITHOUT ADJUSTMENT. THE METHOD USED BY SEWRPC TO ACCOMPLISH THIS ADJUSTMENT IS DESCRIBED. A 17% INCREMENT OF INTERZONAL INTERNAL AUTO DRIVER TRIPS WAS ADDED TO TOTAL VEHICLE TRIPS AND THE RESULTING TRIP DATA WAS USED TO DERIVE TRIP GENERATION EQUATIONS.
