TECHNIQUES TO DETERMINE CRITICAL TERRAIN AND ENVIRONMENTAL FEATURES BY REMOTE SENSING AERIAL EXPLORATION TECHNIQUES

NEW AERIAL SENSOR SYSTEMS AND MULTISENSOR SYSTEMS ARE BEING EVALUATED TO INCREASE THE EFFICIENCY OF EXPLORATION TECHNIQUES FOR THE IDENTIFICATION OF SOILS AND TERRAIN FEATURES AND LOCATION OF CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS. AT PRESENT, COOPERATIVE PROJECTS EMPLOYING MULTIBAND PHOTOGRAPHY, INFRARED IMAGERY AND MULTISPECTRAL IMAGERY ARE UNDERWAY.
