Environmental policies for cities in the 1990s
Action to protect the environment needs to be focused on cities, where air, land and water are under the most intensive attack by pollutants of all kinds. This report, based on twenty case studies, suggests practical solutions in three main areas: urban renewals, transport and energy. It also provides policy guidelines agreed by the governments of the 24 industrial countries that make up the OECD.
