SELECTION OF WELDABLE PRE-CONSTRUCTION PRIMERS FOR USE IN SHIPBUILDING

AUSWAHL UEBERSCHWEISSBARER VORKONSERVIERUNGSMITTEL IM SCHIFFBAU

After an analysis of the present state of knowledge in this field, the primers available in East Germany, and their corrosion resistance and weldability under shipbuilding conditions are studied. Investigations and large-scale tests have shown that the protective paint N34 100 is at present the most suitable primer for this purpose in that country.
