AUTOMATIC REALTIME OMEGA ACCURACY ENHANCEMENT

Several methods for accuracy enhancement of the Omega navigation system have been devised. Micro-Omega is an automatic version of differential Omega, which treats the combination of monitor station and navigational receiver as a single, fast response, closed loop control system. This provides correction of long-period errors due to skywaves and Omega base station instabilities as well as the rapid fluctuations caused by atmospherics.
