Partners for Roads: sharing expertise in traffic management
The Netherlands has started a programme - Partners for Roads - for the exchange of know-how with Central European road administrations in the field of road infrastructure. The scope of cooperation reaches from safe road design, road maintenance, public private partnerships, regional and social development to traffic management systems and EU funded training. Dutch partners, already well experienced in these fields, can, by sharing their knowledge and expertise, contribute to the Central Europe development. In this paper we will briefly describe the programme, as a whole and focus on results so far in the field of intelligent transport systems, build on a 25 years deployment of these systems on Dutch motorways.
