Accreditation review: draft policy proposal
This report proposes a new framework for accreditation. It also proposes a partnership approach between government and industry, coupled with a 'carrots and sticks' approach to encourage more operators to develop safety management systems within the accreditation framework. Research shows that operators with safety management systems have significantly fewer crashes than the industry average.
