BEHAVIOR OF OFFSHORE PLATFORM THREE DIMENSIONAL BATTER PILE FOUNDATION
This paper reviews some of the major design problems related to offshore platform pile foundations and the series of digital computer programs developed to help find solutions of these problems. To improve the calculations of offshore platforms, the soil conditions are entered directly in a space frame analysis program to mock up the foundations. This last program gives as output the displacement and the rotation vector components which allow in a post processor program to calculate the stresses along the pile according to Mohrs theory.
