Social economic cost of road crashes in the PRC: a suggested model for development

The paper identifies the various sources of information that determine the total number of collisions that occur within the People's Republic of China (PRC), the nature of severity of those collisions, the various components that determine the total cost of crashes, a suggested model for deriving those costs, a step by step process for calculating them and a methodology for determining the national costs of crashes and the harm they create. The actual use of PRC data was not possible given the time available to the consultant and the access to information that was available.
