The safety of community transport in Tasmania: issues paper

A primary goal of this review is to ensure that the community transport sector can maintain appropriate levels of service, while properly addressing safety issues. Community transport providers have a general duty of care to their drivers, clients and other road users in the provision of transport. There are a range of management and practice responses in discharging the general duty of care within the sector. As part of this review, it is necessary to consider whether operators of small passenger vehicles in the community transport sector would benefit from additional advice and guidance in the delivery of safe transport services.
