Maintenance interventions for surface friction

The purpose of these trials was aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of several different types of asphalt retexturing treatments and saw grooving. The cost effectiveness of each treatment was assessed. The trials were intended to provide guidelines to the practical selection of available processes intended for surface restoration treatments providing improvement of texture and skid resistance and reduction of water film depth.
