The congestion challenge: a review of public attitudes towards car use and congestion

The survey was designed to provide a snapshot of public, and particularly car drivers', attitudes towards car use and congestion. It also aimed to supplement measurements of the perceived nature of the problem with some pointers about the acceptability, or not, of potential solutions. The survey was undertaken during June 2009 and utilised a number of trend questions enabling comment on changes in public opinion over the course of this decade.
