Fauna usage of three underpasses beneath the F3 freeway between Sydney & Newcastle

This study found that native fauna will move through a number if different types of underpass, ranging from small (approx. 1.5m diameter) to very large (10m diameter). The largest underpass recorded the greatest range of native species. The most frequently used underpass was a 1.5m pipe. Factors which appear to contribute to fauna usage of an underpass include its size and location, and the adjoining habitat.
