BAY AREA FREEWAY OPERATIONS STUDY - EIGHTH INTERIM REPORT
THIS REPORT, THE EIGHTH IN A SERIES, CONTAINS A REVIEW OF THE DATA COLLECTION TECHNIQUES AND ANALYSIS METHODS USED FOR THE BAY AREA FREEWAY OPERATIONS STUDY. THE REPORT DESCRIBES THE PRELIMINARY WORK WHICH PRECEEDED THE SELECTION OF THE DATA COLLECTION TECHNIQUES. IT CONTAINS A SUMMARY OF THE MAN-HOURS EXPENDED AND COST FOR DIFFERENT PHASES OF THE DATA COLLECTION AND REDUCTION. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FUTURE STUDIES BASED ON THE EXPERIENCE GAINED DURING THIS STUDY ARE PRESENTED. /BPR/
