INTERIOR SAFETY OF VEHICLES. STATE-OF-THE-ART

DESPITE ITS TITLE, THIS PAPER DEALS CHIEFLY WITH THE PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT PROBLEM, EXAMINING THE EFFECTS OF THE CAR'S EXTERIOR DESIGN ON THE INJURIES OF PEDESTRIANS WHO ARE STRUCK. COLLISIONS BETWEEN DISSIMILAR CARS, HEAVY TRUCKS AND CARS, AND TWO-WHEELED VEHICLES AND OTHER VEHICLES ARE MORE BRIEFLY DISCUSSED. INVESTIGATION OF SUCH ACCIDENTS BY MEANS OF MATEMATICAL MODELS IS RECOMMENDED. /HSL/
